Western Cape, South Africa
Discover why South Africa is one of the top adventure capitals of the world, why our natural beauty will leave you awe-struck, why our rich cultures and wildlife will fascinate you, why your roots are in Africa, why our friendly people and freedom struggle will touch your heart. Your journey starts here, with us.

You will be spending the first part of your journey in the Mediterranean climate of the Western Cape region. A region famous for it's unmatched natural beauty, for it's majestic mountains and colorful patchworks of farmland set in lovely valleys. Long white sandy beaches that back right up to the mountains. Amazing hospitality, cultural diversity, excellent wine & cuisine - and of course the brilliant blue skies, sunshine and singletrack awaits you.

We will be riding and exploring the majestic mountains of the Overberg region and riding amongst the Cape floral kingdom, which is characterized by fynbos and the protea family, and contains more plant species than the whole of Europe.

Population: Just over 1.5 million (smaller than Texas, but bigger than France)
Total land area: 600,370 square km
Official languages: English (official), but Setswana is spoken by most people

Climate: Botswana is almost all desert - 80% of the country is covered by the semi-arid Kalahari desert. You will have hot days and cool nights throughout the year.

The Tuli Block is a long, thin fringe of land demarcating Botswana's southeastern border. The North East Tuli game reserve consists mainly of privately owned game farms, offering spectacular safari tourism.

Much of the area is unfenced allowing the animals to roam freely between the Motloutse and Limpopo rivers. The vegetation is spectacular, the scenery diverse. Gigantic Nyala trees and the yellow barked fever trees grow along the river banks. The Tuli block is quite different from anywhere else in Botswana. it is referred to as the Hardveld because of the rocky outcrops and the abundance of stones and pebbles, the red sand and the massive trees. This area also has the largest elephant population on private land.

Wildebeest, kudu, eland, impala and waterbuck migrate through this area. Lions, leopard and cheetah follow the game and mingle with the large herds of elephants. The singletrack we ride follows these established animal paths.
